Which friend or acquaintance most influenced your taste in music?

I had a friend in high school named Zach Struxness. When I had a lot of crap going on in my life my junior year, it started coming out in every aspect of my life, including the lacrosse field. I was already kind of a hot-head, but the additional stress was making me into quite the asshole.
Zach pulled me aside, learned what was going on and kind of took me under his wing. At the time, I listened to a lot of gangsta rap (early 90's, everyone did). Zach exposed me to the classics (Doobie Brothers, Eagles, Led Zepplin, Pink Floyd, etc) and for when I was feeling really pissed Nine Inch Nails.
